The Beis Midrash in the Chazon Ish’s Home
Those who would go to the Chazon Ish’s home, would frequently meet him in his study. Three times a day, he would leave his study and go to the beis midrash in his home, where he would daven with great concentration and entreat for the Jewish nation. It is well known that many would ask them to remember them in his tefillos, and like a merciful father who hadn’t merited children himself, he would entreat for those who asked, as if they were his children.
Not many people merited davening together with Maran the Chazon Ish. The beis midrash was not large, and thus only a few lucky ones merited joining him for his tefillos, and seeing his avodah of tefillah.
Many segulos describe the power of tefillah in the beis midrash of the Chazon Ish. Then, as now, the beis midrash from which the tefillos of the leader of the generation emanated, is one of the most auspicious places for tefillah, where the power of tefillah reaches the heavens, to the Throne of Glory.
The Gaon, Rabbi Eliyahu Mann, the talmid of Maran Sar Hatorah Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky ztz”l, said about the Chazon Ish’s beis midrash that he heard from Reb Chaim that it is “a holy place and auspicious for tefillah.”
Indeed, after many years, and after renovations initiated by the Home of the Chazon Ish, the beis midrash has become a place of tefillah, where the Torah giants in our generation go together to daven with tinokos shel beis rabban to daven for the troubles of the Jewish nation, and many merit a yeshuah.
For several years already, on the yahrzeit, gedolei Yisrael come, including Maran Rosh Hayeshivah Rabbi Dov Landau, Maran Hagaon Rabbi Baruch Dov Povarsky, Maran Hagaon Rabbi Meir Tzvi Bergman, Maran Hagaon Hatzaddik Rabbi Shimon Galai, Maran Hagaon Rabbi Shraga Shteinman, to hold a tefillah for the troubles of individuals and the public, specifically in the beis midrash in the Home of the Chazon Ish, and view it as possessing a special power of segulah.
